Who Am I?

Gerald Tighe (Jerry)

Hi, my name is Gerald Tighe, but I go by Jerry.

I LOVE NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens), Business/ marketing (I know... I'm weird...), learning everything I can, and helping people.

I'm currently building my new brand, NFQTS, which is an NFT-focused business that was created to help provide financial freedom, safety and security, and other types of help to members of the NFT community.

I'm also attempting to prove that regular people can do a LOT more than they think is possible, just by being kind, honest, generous, thoughtful, and consistent.

Am I the smartest guy ever? Nah.

Am I the best person to ever exist? Nope.

Do I make mistakes and fail a LOT? Yup, sorry.

But... that doesn't stop me. Only death will stop me because I'm intense like that πŸ˜‰

I also have ADHD and suffer from Bipolar Disorder, and I'm not anywhere near an expert in those things, but... to me, those things feel like a superpower.

The ADHD allows me to hyper-focus on things, and it allows me to be proficient at being a generalist, it just... makes me more susceptible to things like "Shiny Object Syndrome", and makes being a specialist in things I'm not interested in a challenge.

My Bipolar situation... it's hard to fully explain, but the swings between Mania and Depression allow me to excel at perspective shifts. It's a challenge and a half... but, that's just my burden, and I just do my best with what I have.

I measure success as a combination of how many lives I can change and the degree to which I am able to change those lives.

Sure, that sounds kind of cliche, or even fake... but... stick around for a while and pay attention.

If I'm not doing my part, call me out. πŸ˜€

Things I've Done

Admittedly, I don't have the best resume, and I don't have College degrees, certifications, or millions of dollars.

It is what it is, and I'm not going to go spend a ton of time worrying about those things.

I'd rather just learn and meet people in the NFT space.

With that being said... I actually DO have a decent amount of life experience in a number of different ways.

Some of them may be relevant, some of them may not be, but that's for you to decide.

Early Life (15-25)

I started off working an Irrigation company fixing lawn sprinklers (Wet Elf Inc. lol) around the age of 15. I would just help my Uncle in the summers, ya know... make a few bucks while school was out.

After graduating High-school, I ended up working at El Cajon Motorcross Park. Me and the boys loved motorcycles, and one of our buddies got us all jobs there.

I ended up getting sick of that job and ended up becoming an Irrigation Tech at a few different Landscaping companies over the next 5 years.

During this time, I became obsessed with Online Gaming... and spent every single waking hour of my life playing a game called Diablo 2.

Now... as crazy as it sounds, this is where the real magic happened. I didn't know it at the time, but I was basically creating a brand for myself in the Diablo 2 Community under the alias Bloop.

I built trust with the community by being a skilled player, helping people however I could, and expressing my opinions (sometimes I probably shouldn't have because I was a train wreck at the time lol), and eventually, I started doing paid services where I would get on their accounts and do level jobs.

I was also actively flipping digital items within the gameΒ and ended up amassing quite a fortune.

Over the next decade I essentially just gave away that fortune to people and had a good time online making friends and having fun.

Eventually, I lost interest in learning about Sprinkler Systems and Diablo 2 died off, so I started doing Diablo 3 leveling services and eventually moved on from all of that.

Mid-life (25-Now)

Jerry and Evan

I ended up moving back to San Diego and my Dad got me a job at B.A.E. Systems as an Outside Machinist fixing machinery for U.S. Navy ships.

That was FUN, but was dangerous and unhealthy, so I worked there for a few years and learned a ton of neat stuff.

I ended up taking a few years off of work and just finding myself, because honestly... I was having issues figuring out what I wanted to do.

Then... I found Digital Marketing, and everything changed.

I ended up making a bunch of websites/blogs, making some money, and then I got hired by a local Automation/Marketing Consultant, Michelle Bell from Virtual Work Wife.

That experience exposed me to people who were making millions of dollars per year and allowed me to peek inside all of their businesses. Talk about a score. I got paid to learn from some brilliant people.

I ended up kind of working myself out of a job there, which was by design because I had my own Businesses I was trying to build.

Then... I found NFTs.

Then... I got addicted to NFTs lol.

I've been in the NFT Community for a little while now (I'm definitely NOT an "OG") and am learning every day.

I really love the space and feel at home there. There's just something special about NFTs that is a little bit hard to put into words.

Anyway, here we are. It's nice to meet you. Hopefully, this story will continue for a long time, but for now... I have some fun projects to build, interesting things to learn, and amazing people to meet πŸ˜€

Have a great day!
